Hikers on high alert at Towsley Canyon Park following sexual assault

Hikers on high alert at Towsley Canyon Park following sexual assault

A woman exercising in the park area of Towsley Canyon reported an assault this May after a man allegedly exposed himself to her. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the victim screamed.

Hikers are on high alert keeping an eye out for the suspect who was last seen in dark sweats. However, many people felt they were prepared if an incident like that were to happen again.

“I always have my phone with me and I always carry a knife,” said hiker Blake Musil.

The victim was described as a light-skinned male between the ages of 25 and 30 years old with a thin build and dark hair.

He was last seen in a vehicle described by the Sheriff’s Department as a newer model, dark purple Lincoln MKZ.

As of this writing, he still has not yet been caught but hikers are not letting that stop them from enjoying the park.
