The College of the Canyons group connects students returning to college later in life and hopes to add workshops on study skills and résumé building.
Students at College of the Canyons painted pumpkins and played trivia at a meeting of the Adult Reentry Alliance, a group for people starting or returning to college later in life.
The alliance is one of several groups at the college’s Intercultural Center in Bonelli Hall. Professor Anthony Galvan is part of the group.
Andrea Garcia began attending COC in spring 2025. She hopes to transfer to Cal State Northridge and become a math teacher.
Galvan hopes to add workshops on study skills and résumé building. Students interested in joining can find the Adult Reentry Alliance on the College of the Canyons website.
