The Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association, or SCVBA, held its annual gala at the Oaks Club in Valencia on Nov. 30.

The gala is to commemorate members of the SCVBA for their hard work and to award and recognize them for it. The SCVBA is a group of local attorneys dedicated to serving the Santa Clarita Community.

The outgoing President of the Association, Jefferey Armendariz, opened up the Gala with a speech, eventually introducing incoming President John W. Noland.

“I’m looking forward to two years of trying to do good things in the community, create more access for community members to the legal system, perform or conduct fundraising activities to provide for the charities,” said President Noland.

After a few more speeches, a group of attorneys saluted to fulfill their duties to the SCVBA to the best of their abilities.
