Over the Holidays, most people might stress over buying presents or just that right toy. However, some families need a different type of gift, the gift of a safe place.
Here at the Family & Child Center, they provide a large range of services for those in need
“So we have our mental help station, a mental health program, our family preservation
program, domestic violence, substance use, and early childhood mental health,” said Nikki Buckstead, CEO of Child & Family Center.
“Unfortunately, those contracts do not cover all of the costs that are required to operate our programs,” said Buckstead.
And while this company doesn’t do it for all the numbers
“The kids,” said Buckstead. “We are really serving the children first, then with that, we are supporting the families too.”
For those looking to help the Child & Family Center, they always have fundraisers and events for anyone to help.
“Couple of fundraisers that we do every single year; one is Taste of the Town,… our 35th annual, minus the pandemic,” said Buckstead “So that’s our biggest fundraiser.”
