On the other side of these glass doors, some of Santa Clarita Valley’s most influential women have gathered to help each other break the glass ceiling by thinking big and speaking up.

The annual women’s conference featured change-makers and trailblazers, including a diverse group of business leaders, COC administrators and politicians, sharing their collective experiences in hopes that attendees will connect and be inspired.

This conference comes as women have made major strides in the business world.

According to the national women’s business council, around 850 new women-owned businesses open daily, representing 42% of all U.S. businesses and generating $1.9 trillion in revenue annually.

Despite all this growth, women still face continued discrimination in the workplace, as the feeling of being unseen resonated with the attendees.

Organizers hoped to counteract this by setting up female leaders and entrepreneurs as mentors, using breakout groups to share tips and for attendees to ask questions like what loans are available for women business owners and how to start a no-profit in the community hoping these connections will grow into a network that will help these women take the next step to success.
